I have considerable experience of supporting people to find solutions during the challenging times in their lives. I have helped clients to process feelings about past traumas, anxiety, sexual abuse, eating disorders, alcoholism and bereavement.
Therapy sessions are confidential. This means that you can talk about things you might not feel able to discuss with anyone else, in a safe environment, knowing you will not be judged. As your therapist I will aim to help you find better ways to cope and bring about changes to improve your mental and emotional wellbeing.
The therapeutic process is a collaborative one, with me working alongside you to support the development of a greater understanding of yourself and your relationship with others. Listening to your questions and beliefs about counselling at the outset is crucial as it will enable us to form a trusting relationship which forms the basis for positive therapeutic work.
Counselling sessions can provide a space where you can make sense of past events and, in collaboration, find ways of rebuilding and moving forward.
