'There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside of you.' Maya Angelou
I have considerable experience of supporting individuals to find solutions during the challenging times in their lives and have helped clients to process feelings about past traumas, anxiety, sexual abuse, eating disorders, alcoholism and bereavement. I also help couples who face difficulties in their relationships to gain insight into their challenges, improve their communication, and develop clarity about where they want their relationship to be.
Therapy sessions are confidential. This means that you can talk about things you might not feel able to discuss with anyone else, in a safe environment, knowing you will not be judged. As your therapist I will aim to help you find better ways to cope and bring about changes to improve your mental and emotional wellbeing.
The therapeutic process is a collaborative one, with me working alongside you to support the development of a greater understanding of yourself and your relationship with others. Listening to your questions and beliefs about counselling at the outset is crucial as it will enable us to form a trusting relationship which forms the basis for positive therapeutic work.
Counselling sessions can provide a space where you can make sense of past events and, in collaboration, find ways of rebuilding and moving forward.

'Thank you for everything you have done to help me over the last year. I greatly appreciate it and would not be in such a good place in my life otherwise.'
